A full-time equine position has become available in our 20-vet mixed practice
(four equine, four LA, and 12 small animal vets) for an experienced equine vet
to join our developing equine team.
The position would best suit a person who has a particular interest in
first opinion lameness and performance horse work.
We have a rapidly expanding equine client base, across all disciplines, and there is plenty of opportunity to develop your career with progressive clients, and a supportive team around you.
The clinic is BESTPRACTICE accredited and well equipped with a new on-site purpose built surgical facility and specialist surgeon, digital xray, shockwave, endoscopy, ultrasound, IRAP and in-house lab. You would also be well supported with a dedicated equine nursing team.
This position would ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, has great people skills and strives for high standards in quality veterinary care. If you enjoy developing strong relationships with clients, working in a fun, friendly team environment and have a desire to see your clients succeed while still maintaining a balanced life then this might be just the job for you.
An attractive remuneration package would reflect experience and abilities. Continuing Education and special interests are encouraged and generously supported.
You would be joining a clinic that won the 2016 Most Innovative Business award for the North Canterbury district and featured in the March 2017 edition of Vetscript.
Rangiora is a great place to live being only 30 minutes to Christchurch, an hour to the ski-fields, 5 minutes to the beach and just over an hour away from Hanmer Springs. Our district has plenty of schooling options (10 primary schools and 2 secondary) plus all of the Christchurch schools which are an easy commute away.
We have a new swimming complex, gyms, sailing, tramping and many other sports clubs as well as great cafes, restaurants, shopping and local theatre. There are several wineries and craft beer brewers within a 100-km radius.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you and the rest of the family for work, education and play. Applying for this position could be the best decision you've made in a while!
