Do rabbits and rodents need dental procedures too?

Let's not forget our small furry friends who require regular dental check ups too!

Rabbits and rodents, such as guinea pigs and chinchillas, commonly have dental abnormalities that go undetected until they are severe enough to cause symptoms such as decreased appetite and weight loss. Often at this stage the level of disease is irreversible and will require intensive management at home.

The most common presentation we see is overgrown front teeth (incisors) in rabbits which can be a symptom of a bigger problem further back in the mouth.

Don't hesitate to inquire about regular preventative dental care for your rabbit or rodent!
