Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian

Permanent Sunday Role + Casual Shifts Available

Are you passionate about emergency and critical care work? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a busy and varied caseload? We are looking for skilled and motivated Emergency & Critical Care Vets to join our team on a Sunday 8am–5pm shift, with the flexibility to take on additional casual shifts across both our day and after-hours services.

 
 

 About the Role 

This exciting opportunity is based at Rangiora Veterinary Centre where our Emergency Veterinary Hospital is growing. You’ll manage interesting medical cases, work with supportive and experienced ECC nurses, and have access to a full suite of diagnostic and surgical equipment. 

  • Core shift: Sunday 8am–5pm or every other Sunday 

  • Casual opportunities: Pick up extra day or after-hours shifts  

  • Full support from day staff and ECC nursing team through the night 


What We’re Looking For 

You may have a postgraduate qualification in veterinary medicine or ECC, or you might simply be passionate about this area of work. You’ll be confident in handling emergency cases, working independently, and delivering high-quality care under pressure. Surgical experience is an advantage.
