Emergency Critical Care Vet at RVC

ABOUT RVC:

  • ISFM Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic 

  • Full in-house lab, ultrasound, digital DR X-ray, endoscopy, and our Canon 78cm bore 128-slice CT scanner. 

  • A VTS anaesthesia technician and physiotherapy/rehabilitation team onsite. 


THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarian to join our veterinary hospital team. This role provides high-quality emergency and intensive care to small animal patients, working collaboratively with general practice veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and client care. 

  • Average 30-hour working week 

  • Weekend shifts required as part of the ECC roster 

  • Focus on emergency and hospital caseloads, with access to advanced facilities and a skilled support team

ABOUT YOU:

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate excellent clinical judgement, and value teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement. 

  • You hold a BVsc or equivalent qualification, and registration to practice in New Zealand. 

  • 2+ years of clinical experience 

 

The successful applicant will also be onboarded to the Lincoln Leading Edge Program, giving a qualification in veterinary non-clinical skills.
