ABOUT RVC 

  • Established in the 1960’s.

  • A 24/7, 365 day a year first opinion and referral practice receiving patients from all over the South Island.  

  • State-of-the-art facilities in our purpose-built clinic (opened 2013) with three custom-designed theatres – including one dedicated to orthopaedics.

  • ISFM Gold Standard Cat Friendly Clinic 

  • Full in-house lab, ultrasound, digital DR X-ray, endoscopy, and our Canon 78cm bore 128-slice CT scanner. 

  • A VTS anaesthesia technician and physiotherapy/rehabilitation team onsite. 


THE OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for two motivated and enthusiastic vets to join our companion animal team: 

1. Permanent General Practice Companion Animal Vet 

  • Full-time role (with flexibility in hours) 

  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, no after-hours weekday work 

  • Varied GP caseload in a supportive and collaborative team 

2. Emergency & Critical Care Vet 

  • Average 30-hour working week 

  • Weekend shifts required as part of the ECC roster 

  • Focus on emergency and hospital caseloads, with access to advanced facilities and a skilled support team
